We strongly recommend that you contact us prior to returning any items purchased from our store. Further, by purchasing from us, you confirm that you have read our Return Policy and you agree to abide by it.

You will be responsible for the costs of packing and shipping items you return to us. Shipping costs are Non-Refundable. You are also responsible for the safe return of any items you send back to us. If you are not prepared to absorb the cost of any item(s) you are shipping in the event they are lost or damaged, you should consider using a trackable shipping service and purchasing shipping insurance. We don’t guarantee that we will receive your returned item(s) or that your item(s) will be received in good condition.

By purchasing a product or service through our store, you affirm that you have made best efforts to assure that the item is appropriate to your purposes. If you have questions about an item, it is your responsibility to resolve those questions prior to purchasing the item. We strongly recommend contacting us for the most accurate and complete information. We accept no responsibility for any misunderstanding of the details of an item and its appropriateness to your purposes.By purchasing a product or service through our store, you agree that our method of resolving any problems which may arise with items you have purchased from us is solely at our discretion. We will not be held under obligation to exchange or refund any items. In the event of a problem with an item, you should expect that we will first attempt to resolve the issue by sending you replacement parts to make a minor repair yourself if we feel it appropriate, or we may repair an item and send it back to you instead of exchanging or refunding it.
Returns without Restocking Fee
In order to avoid restocking fees, returns must qualify under one of the reasons below. Items which do not qualify are either Non-Returnable or returnable only with a restocking fee.- Damage in Shipment
If you receive an item from us and the outer shipping carton is damaged, such that it is reasonable to expect the item(s) and/or package(s) inside may also be damaged, we recommend that you do not accept the carton. You should refuse delivery and mark the reason as "damaged". If you have already received the item (such as parcel delivery without signature) and find signs of damage in shipment, contact us within 3 business days of receipt to report it. Items reported beyond that time period may not be accepted for return. - Concealed Damage
If, upon opening the undamaged shipping carton, you find signs of damage to the item packaging or item(s) inside, contact us within 3 business days of receipt to report it. Items reported beyond that time period may not be accepted for return. - Defective Item(s)
We strongly recommend that you inspect and test all items promptly after receipt. If you find a manufacturing defect or malfunction with an item, the PIKO Manufacturer's Warranty Policy applies. - Shipping Error
In the event we make an error in a shipment to you, please contact us within 3 business days of receipt to report it. We reserve the right not to make any adjustments for shortages reported beyond that time period.
Returns Subject to Restocking Fee
We reserve the right, solely at our discretion and determined on a case-by-case basis, to accept a return but assess a restocking fee, which may be equal to 20% or more of the sales price of the item(s). Shipping charges are not refundable. Examples of situations where a restocking fee may apply include, but are not limited to:- Items you ordered in error or which you found, after placing the order, were not appropriate for your purposes. We urge you to review your order carefully before placing it. If you have any questions, we strongly recommend that you contact us before placing your order. You can save your order in your shopping cart prior to placing it, then complete and place the order later.
- Items ordered as "gifts" which were not wanted by the recipient.
- Items you ordered from us and no longer want because you found them elsewhere.
Acceptance of any items for return is contingent upon the items being unopened and unused, and received by us in "factory fresh" new condition, including both items and packaging. It is your responsibility to take all steps necessary to ensure the safe return of the items and packaging. All costs of packing and return shipment are your responsibility. Note that we will not be held under obligation in any circumstance to accept any return or provide any sort of refund or credit for returns we do not approve.
Unacceptable Returns
We reserve the right, solely at our discretion and determined on a case-by-case basis, to reject a return for a number of reasons, including but not limited to:- Used, Opened or Damaged Items or Packaging
Most of our products come with a factory security seal. Items or packaging with the seal broken or cut, or which show signs of use or damage, are not returnable. You may still be eligible for repair or replacement of the item (solely at our discretion) either under the PIKO Manufacturer's Warranty Policy or if outside warranty, subject to charge. - Items with Minor Cosmetic Package Damage
Prior to shipment, we make best efforts to ensure that all items being shipped have packaging that is in good condition and free of damage. We also take great care to pack items well for safe shipment. Still, minor damage to packaging can occur in shipment, for reasons that are largely beyond our control. If the items inside the packaging are undamaged, and the ability of the packaging to protect the items inside is not compromised, we do not consider minor cosmetic package damage, such as small dents, gouges, slightly crushed corners, etc. to be valid reasons for return. - Non-Returnable Items
Software, Publications, Chemicals, Specially-Priced Items and Gift Cards are Non-Returnable. Items which we have customized at your request, such as decoder/sound/lighting installations, are Non-Returnable. Items which have no valid proof of purchase from our store are Non-Returnable. Items which were shipped more than 30 days prior are Non-Returnable.

REFUND POLICY

IN ORDER TO ISSUE ANY REFUND, PIKO AMERICA MUST HAVE THE PRODUCT BACK IN OUR POSSESSION WITHIN 25 DAYS FROM THE ORIGINAL PURCHASE DATE! WE HAVE NO WAY TO ISSUE A REFUND AFTER THIS TIME.
We strongly recommend that you contact us prior to returning any items purchased from our store. Further, by purchasing from us, you confirm that you have read our Return Policy and you agree to abide by it.
Refunds for Returned Items
No refunds will be issued for returned items unless we have received and inspected the item(s) and agreed to accept the return. Items accepted for return may be subject to a restocking fee and therefore only qualify for a partial refund. Packing and shipping costs are Non-Refundable.If you make a return, please allow at least 15 business days after we have received the item(s) for us to inspect the item(s). If we agree to accept the return and issue a refund (either partial or for the full item price), we will attempt to refund the amount via the same payment method (credit card, bank, PayPal, etc.) originally used to make the purchase. Refund amounts are based on prices charged on the dated PIKO America sales receipt for the returned items, regardless of prices in effect through our store at the time of the return.
Be advised that, even after we issue a refund, it may take 15 business days or more for your payment method to credit funds to your account. Also, your payment method may assess fees. The timeframe for the credit to be applied and any fees assessed by your payment method are outside our control. We will not be held responsible for any inconvenience, financial difficulties, costs or other problems this situation may present to you.
Refunds on "Gift" Items
Returns of items purchased as "gifts" are subject to our return policy above, with the following additional conditions:- Items Marked as Gifts
If items were marked as a gift when purchased and were shipped directly to you, you will receive a gift credit, redeemable only with PIKO America, for the value of your return (less restocking fees) once we have received and approved the return. To use your gift credit, please do not place your order through our online store, but instead contact us directly. Note that shipping charges will apply on your new order. - Items Not Marked as Gifts
If items were not marked as a gift when purchased, or the gift-giver had the order shipped to themselves to give to you later, once we have received and approved the return, we will issue a refund (less restocking fees) to the gift-giver, not to you, even if the item is shipped to us by you. Also note that the gift-giver will then be made aware that you have returned the item(s).

All PIKO items are warranted only by the manufacturer, PIKO Spielwaren GmbH of Sonneberg, Germany. See the Official PIKO Manufacturer's Warranty Policy. As a convenience to our customers in North America, we (PIKO America LLC) are authorized by the manufacturer to fulfill the warranty (by means of spare parts, repair or replacement, at our sole discretion) for PIKO brand items purchased new and previously unused through our store or through PIKO America authorized retailers. We are under no obligation to fulfill the warranty on:
- PIKO items purchased from PIKO retailers outside North America. You should contact the seller in the event you need to make a warranty claim.
- PIKO items not purchased through our store or our authorized retailers. This includes items which may have been sold as "new" but by sellers who are not PIKO America authorized retailers. Because we have no influence at all in how these sellers handle our products, we regard these items as "second-hand" and not covered by warranty.
- PIKO items which do not qualify for warranty coverage under the Official PIKO Manufacturer's Warranty Policy.

OFFICIAL PIKO MANUFACTURER'S WARRANTY POLICY
Upon purchase of a new, previously unused PIKO product, the firm of PIKO Spielwaren GmbH gives you a manufacturer's warranty of 24 months from the date of purchase.
This warranty is given with the following conditions listed below. You thereby have the possibility of submitting a warranty claim for defects or problems occurring with the product to the firm of PIKO Spielwaren GmbH (Sonneberg, Germany) as the manufacturer of the product.
Warranty Conditions
This warranty applies only to PIKO products that have been purchased new and previously unused from any of our worldwide authorized PIKO retailers. The dated sales receipt from the retailer is required as proof of purchase. We therefore recommend that you keep the sales receipt in a safe place.Warranty Coverage and Exclusions
This warranty includes, at the sole discretion of the manufacturer, correction (free of charge) of any defects or the replacement (free of charge) of parts that are due to defects in design, production, material or transportation, inclusive of the service performance connected with these defects. Any and all further claims are excluded.Warranty claims become null and void when:
- Problems are caused by wear and tear or by normal wear of parts subject to wear and tear.
- When PIKO products have been modified with parts, or in ways, not authorized by the manufacturer.
- The product has been used in a manner not intended by the manufacturer.
- The information in the operating instructions provided by the manufacturer has not been followed.
- More than 7 years have passed since the product was manufactured, regardless of the date of purchase.
Repair or replacement of a product does not extend its warranty period. Warranty claims can be sent directly to the firm of PIKO Spielwaren along with the sales receipt and a summary of the problem(s) with the product. All costs of packing and shipment must be prepaid. Send to:
